• Housing needs for sheep’s very by
• Climate,
• Season of lambing
• And management
• Preferences of the shepherded.
• Simple shelters may be all that is needed.
• Most operation needs facilities where they can
store feeds, bedding and equipment’s
• Site Location
• Space Requirement

(KG)
FLOOR SPACE (M2/ ANIMAL)

• Allow 8 Square feet of floor
space for each lamb
• 14 square for small ewe
• 20 square for large ewe
• On a well-drained Area.
• Downwind form the owner’s house.
• Near to family house to keep on eye on the animal
but far enough to minimize smell.
• On a floor 1-1.5m above the ground should the
area be waterlogged or prone to flooding.

Sun light Direction
• direction of sun light
• Sun light enter in shed and dry everything
• It prevents from disease and insects
• Ventilation is very important for sheep try to provide
fresh air to the sheep with good ventilation.
• if the animal cannot get rid of heat because
the surrounding temperature is too high.
(Above 300c)
• They eat less and produce less
• In warm climates, where the tall are fairly open, a low
wall about 1 meter on the side the wind comes from is
sufficient Rao
labor required for the flock depend upon the number of shee
Flock Shed
Types of Animal Space Animal
Sheep…………………………………………40-50cm
Kid/Lamb…………………………………….30-35cm
• sheep’s are in large then labor requirement increase
• cleanness of shed is very important
• because it is prevent form disease
Rao
Feed Rack
• Grain combination hay and racks are best
for small flock
• When weather permits , feed hay
outdoor in portable racks.
FeedTroughs
• These Are Generally Made Of Wood
• May BeV-shaped
• Flat Bottomed EasierTo Keep Clean,
• Especially IfThey Can Be Reversed.
Self-Feeders
• Self-feeders can save your time
• labour in feeds young one’s (sheep)
• The self-shown on the front cover of weatherproof
• it is 15 feet long 30 feet of trough space
• it can build on other land. It has capacity of 3000 pound 50 bushes.
Mineral feeder
• Make salt and other mineral supplement available to
the flock at all times
Water troughs
• Water trough may be made up of
galvanized iron or concrete.
• Iron is usually cheaper
• concrete is more durable.
• Allow 1 feet of & trough space for every 10
sheep.
Feedlots
• Many sheep’s raisers especially those who
fallen sheep for market make sure that run
off from the feedlot dose not pollute
streams.
• If internal parasite is create problem we can control by mixing
phenothiazine
Providing proper shedding to your animals normally the shed for sheep is about
16’x24’ or 30’x60.
Provide better food for better growth for sheep these are many types of food,
like natural pasture.
Proper space is most necessary for anything space plays an important role in
the growth.
Keep in mind the location of house of sheep for proper provision of proper
light enter in the shed.
Water is an important factor for living things facilitate sheep for good source of
drinking water.
