GENRE RESEARCH
Sound
 For the sound of the film we will use dark and mysterious music that will
help highlight on the tone of the film
 We will also be using ambient noise to create an atmosphere
 We will need loud bangs and screams to add to the atmosphere and
create a mood for the film
Mise – en – scene
 Dark and isolated looking areas
 Empty areas such as an abandoned house
 Low light for such as a candle and a street lamp
Shots and editing
 POV shots of when people are looking at something and we need to show
information about it such as the time on a clock
 Hand held shot of the person laying on the floor
 When editing we will use fast cuts and fades to black as it adds to the
horror atmosphere
Characters
 Our main character is someone who is psychologically damaged and lives
alone in a small house
 Our other character is mysterious and you don’t get to know a lot about
who they are and what they are doing
