I selected a font called "Georgia Regular Black Outline" for my subtitles because the thick black outline makes the text easier to read against bright backgrounds. I used white text with a black outline of about 60 size for all subtitles, including those over interviews with a white screen background, so the text would be visible yet look professional. I ultimately chose a simple white and black design over my original idea of using rainbow subtitles because I found multiple colors would be harder to read.
