- 1. Hollywood is adistrict in Los Angeles, California that is situated in west-northwest of Downtown Los Angeles . The famous Hollywood symbol, originally read Hollywood land . Hollywood is often used as a connotation for the cinema of United states . Cinema of United States of America is also known as a best all over the world . It is the number one film Industry in the world . There are no doubts that Hollywood became the most dominant force in an film industry . Hollywood industry have 2 competitors too which includes Bollywood film industry which produces Indian films and British Industry which makes British films but they cant give Hollywood tough competition.
- 2. The American filmIndustry started to develop in the in the years of 1895 to 1930. The Hollywood Industry eventually started to became famous in 1910. It started to flourish in 1920 and 1930 but then in 1940 due to world war it really had an bad effect to the industry but due to the strong ticket sales of institution it saved the Hollywood film industry of getting closed down . The Hollywood industry consist of six major institutes which includes Warner Bros , paramount Walt Disney , Colombia pictures , Universal pictures. All these are vertically integrated . In 1912 Hollywood was the first industry to make motion pictures . The most common motion patents were controlled by Thomas Edison . Director D.W Griffith was first to make a motion picture . Hollywood is a vast integrated commercial enterprise which produces and distributes feature length films.

The Capitol Records Building on Vine Street, just north of Hollywood Boulevard, was built in 1956, and the Hollywood Walk of Fame was created in 1958 as a tribute to artists and other significant contributors to the entertainment industry. The official opening was on February 8, 1960. In June 1999, the Hollywood extension of the Los Angeles County Metro Rail Red Line subway opened from Downtown Los Angeles to the San Fernando Valley, with stops along Hollywood Boulevard at western avenue.

Warner Bros is a subsidiary of Time Warner with its headquarters in Burbank California . Warner Bros owns half of CW television network . It is the one which have produced finest of motion pictures . It is a division of American media conglomerate viacom . It is the last major film studio headquartered in Hollywood district of Los Angeles . It was found in 1912 by Laemmle , it is one of the oldest movie studio still in production process . On may 2011 ,2004 the controlling stake in the company was sold by Vivendi universal to general electric , parent of NBC . The resulting media super conglomerate was renamed NBC Universal , while universal studio Inc remained the name of the production subsidiary . Jurassic park , 2 guns fast and furious6 and etc are their highest grossing films .
