Hockey is a sport played between two teams who compete to score goals by putting a ball into the opposing team's goal. It can be played on grass, ice, or in swimming pools. A regulation match consists of two 35-minute halves. Each team has 11 players including a goalkeeper. Players use sticks to hit a ball and must keep the ball below their waists if an opponent is near. Positions include offense, midfield, and defense. The game has rules like restricting ball handling to sticks and requiring goals to be scored within a marked area in front of the net. Famous players include Luciana Aymar and Agustina Albertario.

2. How is hockey played?
Is a sport in which two rival teams compete to put a ball in the arc of the opposing
team scoring a goal. The objective is to score more goals than the opposing team
at the end of the playing time regulation.
In case of a tie there are penalty kicks, better of 5 rounds, in case the tie is
continued, it will continue playing through penalties

3. Match information and differents types of court
All you need to start playing is a stick and a ball, the game is played on grass, ice or in
swimming pools.
The time of each part of the match is of 35-minute and a half. Each team is made up of
11 players on the field at all times, including the goalie.
In this sport can play men and woman. The sport is completely non-contact, so if is
played correctly, no one should get hurt.

4. Positions
The positions are generally divided up into three lines on the field. There is an offensive
line, midfield line, and defensive line. The 10 players, excluding the goalie, are positioned
on the field according to a formation set up by the coach. The coach can change the way

7. Rules
1. The hockey court is about 91.4 meters x 55 meters, with a ball which has a 23cm
circumference. Each player has a stick with a rounded head.
2. The players can not touch the ball with their feets.
3. The goal is not worth it if you do not put it inside the zone marked with a white line.
This zone is called AREA.
4. The ball can not be lifted higher than the waist when you have someone who is
your opponent close to you.

9. Cards
There are 3 differents cards:
Green: the referee give you a warning because you made something that you can
not do.
Yellow: The referee give you another warning and take you outside for some
minutes.
Red: The referee throw you out the match because you have 2 warnings and you
don´t stop. When you are outside you can not enter again and nobody can enter in
your place. They will play with only 10 people.

10. Hockey history
In 1527, in Ireland the hockey game was mentioned after the invasion to India in
1757, the British took the sport to Europe. The first hockey club was the
Blackheath Football and Hockey Club in London, which was founded around
1861. Currently grass hockey is dominated internationally by countries such as
Germany, Argentina, Australia, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. Holland
is currently the country where hockey is more | known and in which more follows,
since in other countries it is not so much played

Goalie: Is the person how stay in the arc, and tried to prevent that the ball don't
enter.
Stick: Is the element that players use to control the ball.
Jambs: there are some elements that protect your leg if the ball grabs you.
Mouthguard: This element protect players teeth if the ball grabs them in their
mouth.
