Hip weebly presentation
1. Weebly… and the Vietnam Era
(1961-1975) project for
high school students
By David DeSantis
2. Why put the project online?
• It cuts down on the chalk-talk and adds
groovy on-line enhancement, man.
(I wanted less lecture from me and more exploration from students).
• It makes a choice place to start!
(I wanted to create a preferred starting point for students).
• There are options for students to rap.
( I wanted a way for students to collaborate)
• There are ways for students to tell it like it
is to The Man.
(I wanted a way for students to ask me questions).
3. Why Weebly?
• Righteous and out of sight options!
(There are lots of usable, good tools)
• It’s not a drag, man. (It’s visually appealing)
• You don’t need bread, man. (It’s free!)
• It’s funky. (It’s easy!)
• It keeps kids tuned in, man. (It keeps students
engaged)
• Other sites were a bum trip. (They were wasted
efforts)
4. Check it out, man.
(Watch this. It’s time for a demonstration)
5. What’s your bag, man?
• No hang-ups, man. Just groovy tools to
keep your students keyed; so you’re not
Mickey Mouse and you keep your
teaching out of Squaresville.
(No problems at all and it will keep your teaching methods current and
relevant and your students engaged).
(Are there issues with Weebly?)
6. Now it’s time for me to cool my
chops and beat it.
(I’m going to shut up and leave now).
Peace.
Thanks for your time and attention!
