Introduction:
Seeds of plants are rich in triglycerides, the fatty acid esters of glycerol. Nutmeg s
triglycerides are mainly the glycerol ester of a single fatty acid which is called
myristic acid. This ester, called trimyristin, represents the 20 25% dried weight of
nutmeg (Wilcox amp; Wilcox, 120). The purpose of this lab is to isolate trimyristin
from nutmeg by performing a simple solid liquid extraction and to purify the
trymyristin using the method of recrystallization.
Procedure:
Place 5 g of nutmeg and 50 mL of DCM into a 100 mL round bottom flask, and
reflux the mixture for 30 minutes. Refer to p.120 (E) in Wilcox amp; Wilcox. Rotary
evaporation will be used instead of steam distillation.

trimyristin was done successfully with a smaller than expected

Introduction
I am working as a trainee for The Hanover Design Company based in Westberry.
They are a design consultancy firm that has just started. The company was awarded
a few contracts to design the layout and marketing materials for 5 small
organisations. As part of a team I have been asked to design the layout and marketing
materials for one of the small business.

The objective of this chapter is to describe the procedures used in the analysis of the
data and present the main findings. It also presents the different tests performed to
help choose the appropriate model for the study. The chapter concludes by providing

The research data was analyzed using a statistical software called STATA. Before

complex than simple. Each state has its own version of this law, with California

curriculum, testing does not allow students to focus on a deep understanding of

Rash programmed the robot s brain to resemble the brain of a human as closely as
possible, but without the permission of her boss, Susan Calvin. Both Dr. Calvin
and Dr. Rash question Elvex s dream, so he reveals many robots were working in
factories as slaves. He says the robots must protect their existence and he only
quotes part of the Third Law of Robotics. The robot also mentions that one human
appears in the dream subsequently, and he says, Let my people go! The doctors
then find out that Elvex is the man and his people are robots in the dream, so Susan
decides to fire her gun at Elvex and destroy him. The short story reveals the critical
race theory with examples of white supremacy, dehumanization, and disempowerment
throughout the story. Throughout the story, white supremacy is a hidden truth
behind the piece of writing. The doctors are assumed better than the robots and they

In general girls who grow up without fathers are more likely to experience
problems with relationships than girls who grow up with a father. Adolescent girls
raised in fatherless households are far more likely to engage in promiscuous sexual
activity before marriage, to cohabit, to get pregnant out of wedlock and to have an

In sociology, there are many ways in which society can impact a person and what
they grow up to be, but I believe trust is a very interesting thing in society. I
exclaim this because you have friends and relationships based off of trust, but is it
easier to trust in your own gender or the opposite? This may explain why girls have
better friends that are girls than boys, but then they also have a boyfriend they could
tell anything too. It is strange how trust in genderchanges form person form person.
This topic is also very different from most so that is why I chose it. Although this is
an intriguing topic not much research has been done to discover the reasons for this
trust, but some studies have been conducted. In one study it was found that groups of
all males or females were more trusting in the opposite gender than if they were alone.
They also found when they would put men and women in the same group the results
were the same. Another finding the concluded upon was that women were more

All of these variables are very different, but they can be answered by asking
questions, so the most effective method would be a survey. Even though surveys are
not one hundred percent reliable, it is a lot less time consuming. This will give me
answers very quickly and orderly. Like all case studies there are limitations. In this
situation I m only allowed to survey high school students that go to Central DeWitt
High school. One way this oculd change the outcome is that I cannot get opinions
from anyone outside of high school, this could affect the opinion of people to just put
what their friends say or maybe the students haven t been exposed to everything an
adult
