7 ways we help our Consumers International members
Consumers International (CI) exists because of its membership. Since CI's creation in 1950, the goal of this international fraternity of consumer rights groups has been to serve and support the needs of its member organisations. The method and means by which this is done may have changed significantly over the years, but the value we place on enhancing the effectiveness of members' campaigns, broadening their influence and supporting their development remains central.
A huge variety of organisations make up Consumers International. Our largest member has 500 staff and an annual turnover of USD160 million. Some of our smallest members are made up of no more than one or two volunteers, using a living room as a campaigns office. We have over 220 members representing more than 110 countries across the world, with two-thirds of our membership active in the developing world.
For us to truly represent all these interests; and to fairly claim to be 'the global voice for consumers', we must find ways of providing value to all of these organisations.

The IVISOC project aims to identify the skills and value that volunteers provide communities and focus on recruiting, retaining, and recognizing volunteers. It seeks to develop a volunteering framework and identify good practices within the social care sector. The project also examines the impacts of austerity across EU countries and the increased needs of marginalized groups. It aspires to propose amendments to policy and disseminate knowledge and practices to better support volunteers and promote positive change.
One Young World Summit 2016
One Young World is a UK-based nonprofit that brings together young leaders from every country annually to address global issues and make commitments to positive change. It has grown significantly since 2009, partnering with over 700 organizations. The annual summit in Ottawa from September 28 - October 1, 2016 will bring together over 1,300 delegates from 196 countries for sessions on pressing issues led by world leaders and counselors from various fields. Delegates then become ambassadors in One Young World's global network of over 6,000 young leaders working on summit-inspired initiatives to create impact.

One Young World Summit 2016
One Young World is a UK-based nonprofit that brings together young leaders from every country annually to address global issues and make commitments to positive change. It has grown significantly since 2009, partnering with over 700 organizations. The annual summit in Ottawa from September 28 - October 1, 2016 will bring together over 1,300 delegates from 196 countries for sessions on pressing issues led by world leaders and counselors from various fields. Delegates then become ambassadors in One Young World's global network of over 6,000 young leaders working on summit-inspired initiatives to create impact.

AGM 2022: Vision for Volunteering
