Rugalytics is a Ruby library that allows users to easily access and summarize Google Analytics reports and data. It uses a technique called "morphing" to dynamically generate Ruby methods and classes based on the structure and attributes of the Analytics reports. This allows report data to be accessed and manipulated as normal Ruby objects and attributes. The library includes methods to retrieve report data via the Analytics API in various formats including JSON. It also includes a basic web server to demo serving report data via API endpoints.

You must’ve heard of Unit testing… If not, then this talk is definitely for you! If you do know Unit testing, you probably ran at some point into a hurdle: “Where do I start?” And despite your best efforts, you end up not having enough tests for your application – Then that change request comes in, requiring you to change that very same complex piece of code for which you are lacking tests! How do you going refactor while maintaining all those ‘undocumented’ business rules? This talk will show how Codeception can be leveraged to refactor the visuals aspects of an application, maintaining backwards compatibility on API changes and even assist in moving to a whole different server infrastructure.
Keeping It Simple

Writing Maintainable Perl
One criticism of opponents of Perl is that it is a "write-only" language meaning that once the code is written, it is extremely difficult to maintain because it is difficult to understand upon re-examination. As with many criticisms, this should be aimed at those undisciplined developers who are writing the code, and not their tool of choice.
Having said that, I think it is also fair to say that Perl makes it very easy to write difficult-to-decipher code. This is the doubleedged sword which is the shorthand Perl gives us to be very expressive in a small amount of space. A negative application of this is obfuscated Perl (where the author intentionally makes his code difficult to read), while a more positive application is the craft of creating Perl "oneliners" (trying to include a great deal of functionality in a single line of code). A oneliner can be a powerful weapon in the arsenal of a system administrator.
In this talk:
* We'll look at a line of code in a subroutine that is in desperate need of readability changes
* We'll make the code more readable by introducing:
* appropriate whitespace
* different ways of writing the same thing, for example: $array[$#array] vs. $array[-1]
* useful names for variables, versus $index, $j $k $l, etc
* breaking up one line of code into multiple lines
* exploring further improvements through Perl::Critic and by extension Perl::Tidy

Climate impact / sustainability of software testing discussed on the talk. ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
