DNA is a double-stranded helix molecule composed of complementary deoxyribonucleotide units that are held together by hydrogen bonds between the base pairs of adenine-thymine and cytosine-guanine. RNA is a single-stranded molecule where adenine bonds with uracil instead of thymine, and cytosine still bonds with guanine. There are different types of RNA including mRNA, rRNA and tRNA that contain information to determine the physical and chemical characteristics.
