1. Hemorrhagic stroke is caused by bleeding into the brain from a ruptured blood vessel and can be subdivided into intracerebral hemorrhage and subarachnoid hemorrhage. 2. Common causes include hypertension, cerebral amyloid angiopathy, liver disease, smoking, and drug use. 3. Treatment aims to minimize brain damage, prevent complications, and reduce disability through interventions like blood pressure control, management of increased intracranial pressure, hemostatic therapy, anti-seizure drugs, and possibly surgery to remove blood from the brain.
