The Hellenic Economic Library Network (H.E.L.I.N.) was formed in 2012 as a partnership between 10 libraries in Greece providing economic information and services. The network was created in response to budget cuts during the economic crisis to promote cooperation and sharing of resources. H.E.L.I.N. aims to provide higher quality services through interlibrary loans, a common collection development policy, and joint programming including conferences and training sessions. Evaluation of past events found they effectively met the needs of participants and helped broaden knowledge of members. Future goals include expanding specialized economic information and training offered and utilizing social media to diffuse economic information.
