This document provides information about a class that focuses on helping participants address harms from their past and resolve conflicts through storytelling exercises. This is the part of the story where harm
intensifies.
As a reaction, the main character pays attention
to resolving the main harm (abuse).
A building of interest (passion and hope) or
suspense grows.
Passion and hope are the interplay that
guides the main character forward,
while powerlessness
discourages
downward into despair.
Every story has a plot!
A plot is the events that make up a story.

This happens at the beginning.
The characters are introduced in the
setting of the story.
Most importantly, only HERE is where
the main conflict (root harm) is
revealed.
This is the turning point of the
story.
The main character comes face to
face with conflict which requires
risk.
The main character will change
(heal) in some unknown way.
All mysteries of the plot
are connected.
The damage from the
conflict is resolved.
The climax was felt
through addressing the
real issue rather than the
false problem.
