What Is a Healthcare Database?
 Let’s start with a simple definition. A database is any collection of data organized
for storage, accessibility, and retrieval. There are different types of databases,
but the type most commonly used in healthcare is the OLTP (online transaction
processing) database.
 An OLTP Database is one that a single computer application runs on
 In our discussion, a healthcare database serves to replace the paper documents,
file folders, and filing cabinets of old. The data is now more convenient and
immediate.
Current system is far away from latest technology. Current system
is like file and paper work system. It is very difficult to handling with
paper work. It takes too much time, cost as well as man power. There
are many chances of mistakes so, it is also difficult to avoid these
mistakes while paper working. current record keeping system is not
well settled. It may be a risk for organization. With the current
organization can’t meet to the good status of health without latest
technology. It can also be the risk for the health of your patients.
current record keeping system is not can’t retain data for a log time.
 Hard to access and manage the details of patients.
 Most of the records are still maintained in papers or in files.
 It takes more time and man power.
 There is a possibility of missing the prescriptions and reports.
 So searching and upgrading the details is a difficult task
 Also there is a large chance of errors.
 And the chances of lost of data may be.
Developed System
Developed system is totally Computerized record keeping system. In that system we
can access data very easily. User and patient may be log in with their accounts and pass
words.
Doctors and staff can easily manage and change their schedule of treatment. Changing of
medicine or treatment of any patient can easily updated . Patient have access to database
in order to know about their treatment and medicine.
with devolved system we can manage a lot of work in very Short time. In order to
benefits of the organization, organization will save not only money as well as man power
with developed system .
Developed System
 It generates test reports; provide prescription details including various
tests, check-up and medicines prescribed to patient and doctor. It also
provides medicine detail like injection details and billing facility.
 The system also provides the facility of backup as per the requirement.
Advantages of Developed System
 Immediate Access of data
 Data can be easily insert/update/delete
 Only basic knowledge of computer is required and user friendly applications.
 It improves the quality of patient care.
 It is highly secure.
 Less manual works and reduce in time spent.
 We can efficiently maintain medical documentation and services.
 Give facility of different types of Enquiry
 It is a computerized data so can be easily maintained and retrieved.

Conclusion….
In Conclusion I would like to say that paper and file system of record keeping is very
difficult and time wasting as well as man power. It may be risky some time because of
having no backup.
Computerized data keeping system is very useful in health care clinic and hospitals.
We can easily access any patients information any time and can be kept safely for long
period of time without any damage. We can efficiently identify the patient’s health
conditions by accessing these records.
