Context :
Pérez and Luquis (2014) stated, "Integrating cultural proficiency practices into the individual practices of health educators and public health organizational policies is a call to action" (p. 50). It is important for those in health care to be aware of the methods used to identify and evaluate the specific health care needs of individuals, communities, and populations, and to understand the meaning of health literacy as it pertains to the needs of a multicultural population or group.
With a growing diverse population, the incorporation of cultural and linguistic competence should be included into the planning, implementation, and evaluation of health education and promotion programs. "In this process, it is essential to employ theoretical models that describe and explain culture and related concepts (Pérez & Luquis, 2014, p. 165). Cultural constructs need to be applied to all health education, promotion, and prevention interventions targeting diverse communities (Pérez & Luquis, 2014).

Application Access to Quality Health Care for Vulnerable Population.docxhirstcruz
Application: Access to Quality Health Care for Vulnerable Populations
Access to quality health care for disparate populations is a critical challenge for today's health care organizations and for the health care system as a whole. In this Application Assignment, you will describe the advantages and challenges facing the health care system in providing equal access to quality health care.
To prepare
for this Application Assignment, consider how health care is delivered to populations who are sometimes affected by the
Healthy People assigned focus area
you were previously assigned.
To complete
this Application Assignment,
write a
2- to 3-page paper
(essay style) that addresses the following:
What two obstacles confront vulnerable/underserved populations when they attempt to obtain quality health care
Healthy People assigned focus area
(e.g., a prevention program, screening program, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation)? Be specific.
Name and describe
two
intervention programs that have addressed these obstacles (e.g., prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation). You can find examples of these on the internet or by searching the library databases (CINAHL). Try searching with your Healthy People area (i.e. obestiy; heart disease) as a key term as well as the word "intervention" or "program"). You may also try looking at professional organizations that address that health issue. For example, the American Diabetes Association sponsors a program called "Project Power" which addresses diabetes type 2 among African Americans—specifically for church settings.
In your paper, summarize the programs by including the following:
The name of the program
The type of program (hospital based; for churches; online program, etc.)
Who has implemented the program (researchers, professional group, university, state, etc.) and where was it implemented:
For example, training programs are sometimes offered by commercial businesses and programs or activities are sometimes sponsored by federal government or professional organizations.
The types of services the program provides
How the program has addressed disparities
The achievements of the program
Does it address the issue of culture? How so?
Is there any evidence that it has been successful?
Your written assignments must follow APA guidelines (6th edition). Be sure to support your work with specific citations from this week's Learning Resources and additional scholarly sources as appropriate. Refer to the
Essential Guide to APA Style for Walden Students
to ensure that your in-text citations and reference list are correct. Also, since this is one of your only applications, you may want to submit this to a Walden Writing Center tutor first as well as run it through Turnitin.com prior to submission.

Overview
Develop a 4–6-page position about a specific health care issue as it relates to a target vulnerable population. Include an analysis of existing evidence and position papers to help support your position. Your analysis should also present and respond to one or more opposing viewpoints.
Note
: Each assessment in this course builds on the work you completed in the previous assessment. Therefore, you must complete the assessments in this course in the order in which they are presented.
Position papers are a method to evaluate the most current evidence and policies related to health care issues. They offer a way for researchers to explore the views of any number of organizations around a topic. This can help you to develop your own position and approach to care around a topic or issue.
This assessment will focus on analyzing position papers about an issue related to addiction, chronicity, emotional and mental health, genetics and genomics, or immunity. Many of these topics are quickly evolving as technology advances, or as we attempt to push past stigmas. For example, technology advances and DNA sequencing provide comprehensive information to allow treatment to become more targeted and effective for the individual. However as a result, nurses must be able to understand and teach patients about the impact of this information. With this great power comes concerns that patient conditions are protected in an ethical and compassionate manner.
By successfully completing this assessment, you will demonstrate your proficiency in the following course competencies and assessment criteria:
Competency 1: Design evidence-based advanced nursing care for achieving high-quality population outcomes.
Evaluate the evidence and positions of others that could support a team's approach to improving the quality and outcomes of care for a specific issue in a target population.
Evaluate the evidence and positions of others that are contrary to a team's approach to improving the quality and outcomes of care for a specific issue in a target population.
Competency 2: Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of interprofessional interventions in achieving desired population health outcomes.
Explain the role of the interprofessional team in facilitating improvements for a specific issue in a target population.
Competency 3: Analyze population health outcomes in terms of their implications for health policy advocacy.
Explain a position with regard to health outcomes for a specific issue in a target population.
Competency 4: Communicate effectively with diverse audiences, in an appropriate form and style, consistent with organizational, professional, and scholarly standards.
Communicate an initial viewpoint regarding a specific issue in a target population and a synthesis of existing positions in a logically structured and concise manner, writing content clearly with correct use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

The Roman Empire A Historical Colossus.pdfkaushalkr1407
The Roman Empire, a vast and enduring power, stands as one of history's most remarkable civilizations, leaving an indelible imprint on the world. It emerged from the Roman Republic, transitioning into an imperial powerhouse under the leadership of Augustus Caesar in 27 BCE. This transformation marked the beginning of an era defined by unprecedented territorial expansion, architectural marvels, and profound cultural influence.
The empire's roots lie in the city of Rome, founded, according to legend, by Romulus in 753 BCE. Over centuries, Rome evolved from a small settlement to a formidable republic, characterized by a complex political system with elected officials and checks on power. However, internal strife, class conflicts, and military ambitions paved the way for the end of the Republic. Julius Caesar’s dictatorship and subsequent assassination in 44 BCE created a power vacuum, leading to a civil war. Octavian, later Augustus, emerged victorious, heralding the Roman Empire’s birth.
Under Augustus, the empire experienced the Pax Romana, a 200-year period of relative peace and stability. Augustus reformed the military, established efficient administrative systems, and initiated grand construction projects. The empire's borders expanded, encompassing territories from Britain to Egypt and from Spain to the Euphrates. Roman legions, renowned for their discipline and engineering prowess, secured and maintained these vast territories, building roads, fortifications, and cities that facilitated control and integration.
The Roman Empire’s society was hierarchical, with a rigid class system. At the top were the patricians, wealthy elites who held significant political power. Below them were the plebeians, free citizens with limited political influence, and the vast numbers of slaves who formed the backbone of the economy. The family unit was central, governed by the paterfamilias, the male head who held absolute authority.
Culturally, the Romans were eclectic, absorbing and adapting elements from the civilizations they encountered, particularly the Greeks. Roman art, literature, and philosophy reflected this synthesis, creating a rich cultural tapestry. Latin, the Roman language, became the lingua franca of the Western world, influencing numerous modern languages.
Roman architecture and engineering achievements were monumental. They perfected the arch, vault, and dome, constructing enduring structures like the Colosseum, Pantheon, and aqueducts. These engineering marvels not only showcased Roman ingenuity but also served practical purposes, from public entertainment to water supply.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
