In t r o d u c t i o n
Ever wondered what it would be like to be a witch or wizard? Ever wandered what
Hogwarts was like? I'm sure you have, just like everyone else who has read the Harry
Potter series. Today, we will do just that. Today, you become a Hogwarts student and
write your own experience.

Th e Ta s k
You have been accepted into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizadry! You will
recieve your supplies list and get sorted into a house and make lots of friends. Then you
get to pick your wand!. In your story, you get to meet Harry and decide if you want to
be his friend. You will also decide if you want to try out for quidditch and what classes
you want to take. You get to decide how life is at Hogwarts. Your story begins now.

Th e Pr o c e s s
   1. Read your acceptance letter.
   2. Read through your supplies list and proceed to the sorting ceremony. Answer the
      questions and find out which house you'll be in.
   3. Write down the name of your house.
   4. Now start typing your story. Here are some sites to help you get more ideas.
   5. Here is a grammar site to help make sure you are following the rules.
   6. Spell check you story to make sure you have no errors.

This WebQuest will strengthin your writing ability. You will be able to put yourself in
stories and perfect your first-person writing. This will also help you spot grammar and
spelling errors in your writing.
