The AlpCheck Information System collects and combines high quality information on Alpine transport. It provides analytic capabilities to understand the data using cutting edge business intelligence technology. The system collects data from existing surveys, highway operators, and pilots. It uses a multi-tiered architecture to store, manage, and analyze heterogeneous transportation data from various sources. Looking ahead, AlpCheck aims to further automate data extraction, transformation, and updating. It also seeks to integrate models and analyze traffic data together with trade data to better support decision making.
