3. FRONT COVER
• The front cover consists of an image of a CCTV camera.
This image connotes the title of the album which is ‘STARS
OF CCTV’. This is also linked with the title of the last song
on the album which has the same name. The cover is very
basic and plain and uses the colours yellow and black this
has been used to attract the customer’s attention in shops.
Yellow and black could also be anchored to the CCTV
theme of the album. This is a trait that the band Hard-Fi
uses on all of their albums.
4. FRONT COVER
• The text in the top corner is in a basic font, I think that
this is because they do not want to take any
unnecessary attention away from the image in the
middle of the cover. All of the text is in the same
font, yet the band’s name is in bold, this is to show that
it’s the most important thing on the cover. Using the
two colours yellow and black also works well with the
basic theme of this album cover.
6. INSIDE PANEL
• The inside panel for this album which is the back of the booklet
is an image which the audience would assume is footage from a
CCTV camera recording the group. I think that this image
connotes to the title of the album, ‘STAR OF CCTV’. This is
because the they are on CCTV and these could be the typical
stars of today, this would be because the group are being typical
youth of today, one of them is smoking while another is on his
phone.
7. INSIDE PANEL
• The collection of men all have black censor bars across
their eye, which we presume to be hiding their identity
from the viewer. This is a typical thing to happen when
a CCTV camera is recording. The black box in the top
left hand corner also adds to the fact the image is from
a CCTV recording. The box contains the camera name
and the time. The font used here is the same as on the
front cover, this helps to link the whole album together.
The writing is also yellow which further more links the
album together.
9. CD TRAY
• On the CD there is also another image of a CCTV camera just
like on the front cover and inside left panel. This gives
anchorage to the album that if the audience was to see this
image then they would think of this album. Just to the right of
the image of the camera is the record company information;
there are the company’s logos. This image is also very basic
and could connote that the band let the music do the talking and
don’t need to flood the audience with text and loads of images.
The use of the two colours is used throughout all of the panels
and helps to link that whole of the album together.
11. BACK PAGE
• The colour yellow is used on the back page as well as
all throughout the album; this has helped really well in
linking the whole album together. The font used in the
text for the track list is this same font that is used the
whole way throughout the album. This connotes this
font to this album as well as linking the album together
as a whole album. At the bottom of the cover there are
the 3 logos two these are the record company’s
logos, the other one is the bands logo.
