Content Focus for Keyphrase Optimization:
The content that I decided to focus on is the location page.
https://www.enterprisecarshare.com/us/en/locations.html. On the location page one of the first things seen
is a search bar that says “find car share near you”. Below are a small list of countries that have Enterprise
Carshare. Further down there are a list of major cities that have Enterprise Carshare. The website goes on
to list the universities and businesses that have Enterprise Carshare. On the site there are a total of 103
locations with Enterprise Carshare. I believe this content will drive traffic because if people are looking
for car sharing programs they are going to want to know if car sharing is near their cities or at their
universities. With that being said if people are searching for car sharing locations the location page should
be one of the first things they see. ZipCar has a similar page but it is harder to find then Enterprise. For
ZipCar you need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the home page and hit more locations which
then bring you to a page listing the states and cities that have ZipCar which is many more then Enterprise.

I wanted to have a phrase with Enterprise in it to see if that would drive more traffic. SEMrush helped
me pick this phrase by showing me the monthly volume of 260. Finding the monthly volume is very
important so that way we can know roughly how many people search for that specific phrase. SEMrush
also showed other options that were similar to the phrase I was searching. This helped me because if what
I was searching didn’t have very much information I could look to see what other options I could use for
key phrases. By the end I decided that this phrase would not be the best options because the trending graph
was starting to decline.

 General Search Trend: Car sharing locations trend has been up and down for the past five years.
I wanted to see if more people would be likely to search car share location or car sharing location, I
found that car sharing was more popular. For car sharing location what helped me the most was looking at
the trending graph. The SEMrush graph showed me that although this key phrase doesn’t have a lot of
traffic it is increasing over time. I thought that this phrase was my best option because although its monthly
volume is not at high as the other phrases their trending graph is increasing.

five years.
I wanted to see how often people were searching carshare near me, it wasn’tas much as I wasthinking.
When it came to looking for car share near me SEMrush showed me that there are many different options
when people search for near me. For example one was “uhaul car share near me” this made me think that
this is not the best option because there were so many other options that have been searched. SEMrush also
helped because the trending graph showed that this trend is slowly decreasing.
Google Trends Analysis:
According to Google Trends my three key phrases are similar in the fact that they are all constantly
changing. All three have gone up and down throughout the past five years. I did notice that “car share near
me” is on a larger scale reaching higher numbers then my other key phrases. In the past five years it seems
that “Enterprise car share locations” and “car share near me” have switched in popularity within the graph.
In 2014 Enterprise car share locations was fairly high and car share near me was lower and as the years
have gone on they have seemed to switch. In comparison to SEMrush’s trend data they were pretty similar
in the sense that it showed the key phrases were up and down in the graphs. The main difference I saw was
in SEMrush’s trend graph on “car share nearme,” this graph showedthat it wasgradually increasing instead
of an up and down rate. It was also apparent on SEMrush’s graph for “Enterprise car share locations” that
it is currently decreasing which I’m not seeing on Google trends.

When it came my keyword phrases ranks ZipCar has higher numbers then Enterprise according to
SearchEngineReports.net. This shows that car share near me has the highest ranking with Enterprise. While
Enterprise car share locations has the highest ranking for ZipCar. Car sharing location and Enterprise car
share locations had the lowest on EnterpriseCarshare.com, which is a good thing!

For potential traffic there are slight increases for all potential keywords. Car share near me and
Enterprise car share locations had the highest potential traffic but at the same amount. Car sharing location
has the lowest but it isn’t much lower than the others. Car sharing location has about 63 additional monthly
visits while the two other keyword phrases has 78.
Ultimate Key phrase Choice: Car sharing locations
I chose car sharing location as my ultimate key phrase because it is projected to increase according
to Google trends which I think will drive the most traffic. Even though this choice does not have the highest
potential monthly traffic I still feel like it is the best option. I don’t think car share near me would work
because it has so many variables when it comes to user’s location. Enterprise car share locations is not the
best option either because according to Google trend it is projected to go down. I also notice that carsharing
is more popular with a volume of 12,000 while car share’s volume is 9,900 according to SEMrush.

down below Enterprise uses hourly car rental locations as the title tag. While ZipCar uses cities across the
globe. When it comes to Enterprise title tag it seems to be a little misleading, hourly car rental seems like
it can only be rented for hours when in fact it can be rented out for days at a time. Also at first glance it
doesn’t seem like it will show you locations because the first thing you see is hourly. Because of these
reasons I think changing the title tag to car sharing locations would be more beneficial. I just want to make
the title tag straight to the point that’s why I changed it to something so simple but also affective.

A meta tag is important because the words that are in them are read through a search engine which
checks to see that the words located in the meta tag match up with what’s on the websites page. I like what
is in EnterpriseCarshare.com’s meta tag I just think more should be added to it. Originally it just ask if they
don’t have your location to contact them but I think that if there is a little more added to the tag it would
improve it. That’s why I included an invite like message,saying find your nearest car share location. When
it comes to ZipCar the only thing that is in the meta tag are names of cities in which ZipCar is located.
