This document summarizes the high costs of basic services like water, electricity, and phone charging that people in Haiti pay compared to developed countries. It then outlines a plan for a social impact consortium in Haiti led by renowned social entrepreneurs to provide more affordable and sustainable solutions. The consortium aims to (1) create access to technologies like solar lamps and efficient cookstoves, (2) establish savings and financing programs, and (3) develop entrepreneurship among youth. Within 3 years, it seeks to expand its efforts and build local capacity in Haiti.
Redlining was coined in 1960 by a sociologist James McKnight.
The term basically refers to financial lenders drawing a redline around communities that they would invest in due to poor financial capabilities.
These areas were often occupied by people of color.
This practice encouraged institutionalized racism to run through the streets of these communities.
Poorly funded schooling
Major health impacts
Larger environmental issues
Less opportunity for community growth and well-being

Can you imagine what your community would accomplish if everyone who lived there had financial security? Would the citizens of that community have the time as well as the mental and emotional space to be more engaged in their community? An engaged community is a community which solves local issues that adversely affect the citizens of that locality. If all communities had this same level of engagement, could we overcome global issues? Finding a solution to poverty and financial insecurity is key to attaining greater community engagement. Universal Basic Income is a solution to poverty and financial insecurity, and ultimately, greater community engagement.

Ma a világban mindent pénzzel mérünk. Csak a pénz-ügyi tőkét ismerjük el. Valójában azonban számos másfajta tőke létezik, amik a kizáró gondolkodás miatt pusztulnak. Emiatt van szükség kiegészítő pénzemekre, mert a sztenderd pénz csak a pénztőkére való igazán. És a tudatosság féken tartására.

It is like a sculptor who has studied so many forms found in nature and then uses this knowledge to create sculptures from his imagination that have never been seen before anywhere else. If taken to cyberspace, gans work almost the same way.
