Gyeongbokgung Palace is an important South Korean palace built in 1395 for the country's monarchy. It was heavily damaged by Japan in the early 1900s but around 40% of the original buildings still remain or are being reconstructed. The palace was constructed from wood and ceramic tiles, with agriculture occurring on the grounds. Heated floors kept the king's hall warm while windows provided ventilation. While some buildings could work in Caldwell County, the entire palace complex would not fit due to its large size.
