Founded by Hajji Ali Mohammad.
The Gul Ahmed Group is a Pakistani company that includes Gul Ahmed Textile
Mills, Gul Ahmed Energy and Habib Metropolitan Bank. More recently,
A chain of retail outlets has been founded under the name "Ideas by Gul
Ahmed".
In 1953, the group decided to enter the field of manufacturing under the name
Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, and was incorporated as a privately limited
company.
In 1972, it was listed on the Karachi Stock Exchange. Since then, the company
has made rapid progress and is currently one of the leading composite textile
houses in the world.

Green Company
Liquid Effluent:
Effluent Treatment Plant Installed in May 2007.
Treated 1 million gallons per day of waste water within NEQS limits.
On-going projects to recycle waste water.
Gaseous Emissions:
Cycle gas turbine, installed in December 2006, generates 10 MW electricity.
Exhaust flue gases fed to HRSG to generate steam, installed in May 2007.
First combined cycle power plant in textile industry.
Reduced heat content of flue gases going into the atmosphere.
Solid Waste:
Mills generate non-hazardous waste only.

Other measures included setting up of pollution free zones for textile
processing to help in increasing textiles exports from Pakistan.
Latest technology should be introduced to compete with the other
countries like (India, Bangladesh & China) in the global market in
term of cost and quality.
Technology will decrease cost of production so they can minimize
retail price of product for the benefit of customer , who can not
afford their products.
13. Conclusion
They engage very skilled employees and pay them what they
deserve.
Production cost is quite less what they demand from customers
as maximum profit because of their goodwill and quality of
product.
Ethical practices are head to head with their production scale.
They do follow ethics in business world and paying cost of ethics
we can’t find such unethical things in Gul Ahmed so far.
