i. The guidelines mandate that all international arrivals undergo a 14-day quarantine - 7 days in a paid institutional quarantine facility followed by 7 days of home isolation with self-monitoring.
ii. Home quarantine may be permitted for 14 days in exceptional cases like human distress, pregnancy, death in family or illness, as assessed by the receiving state, with mandatory use of the Aarogya Setu app.
iii. Thermal screening will be conducted upon arrival, and only asymptomatic travelers will be allowed to enter India, who will then be taken to institutional quarantine facilities arranged by states for a minimum of 7 days.
