The document provides commentary from OceanForest Investment Partners on the third quarter of 2011. Key points from interviews with Warren Buffett and a panel of experts include:
1) The US and Europe face real economic challenges but the US has the flexibility and innovation to adapt and compete globally.
2) While short term uncertainty exists, US and European multinational companies offer attractive long term investment opportunities at low valuations.
3) Avoiding all risk by holding only safe assets may be the biggest risk for investors seeking growth over the long run.
The summer has ended and it is time to collect what was planted to prepare for planting again. The document suggests that summer is over and it is now time to gather the results of planting to get ready for future planting seasons.
The global markets were volatile in Q1 2014 due to inconsistent economic data, geopolitical tensions in Ukraine, and fears of slowing growth in China. Canadian markets performed best, gaining 6.2%, while US, European, and emerging markets also posted strong returns. The portfolio manager recommends sticking to a diversified plan and not making hasty decisions during periods of market uncertainty. Maintaining a balanced portfolio with stocks, bonds, and cash helps reduce risk and smooth returns over the long run.
Brent Woyat, a portfolio manager at OceanForest Investment Partners, provides a quarterly commentary on the capital markets and his investment outlook. He notes that while the media focuses on negative economic indicators, several business leaders including Warren Buffett, Steve Ballmer, and Jeff Immelt expressed optimism about long-term economic growth at a recent conference. Woyat also cites a McKinsey survey finding that most executives expect rising profits and hiring. Based on these positive views, Woyat remains bullish on the global economy and recommends clients maintain their full target equity allocations. He further discusses the quarterly performance of the firm's portfolio mandates, highlighting several holdings with double-digit returns.

1) The document discusses the current "sideways" stock market and outlines 5 principles for successful long-term investing: focus on quality companies, look for dividends, value discipline, recognize different market cycles, and stick to a diversified plan.
2) It advocates maintaining equity allocations as long as tactical models indicate an intact bull market.
3) It notes the emerging strength of the US dollar against the euro due to European debt concerns and technical signals of a new US dollar bull market versus the Canadian dollar.
1. The portfolio manager discusses the market performance in Q2 2014, with the Canadian equity markets outperforming other global regions.
2. He explains that central bank monetary policies, particularly from the US Federal Reserve and European Central Bank, have been a key driver for the stock market rally over the past few years by keeping interest rates low.
3. The portfolio manager reiterates his advice to investors to stick to their customized plans and not be deterred by short-term market fluctuations, as the plans are designed to navigate periods of volatility.
The students in the class studied fish as their class project. They researched fish, created an index of what they wanted to learn, organized the information on a classroom mural, and experimented. They learned about how fish breathe, move, are born, eat and digest food, float, and more. They decorated their classroom door and set up an aquarium as part of their project.

5. • PRIMER CRITERI: Funcionalitat
faci vida dins i fora.
14. Transició de la pavimentació de
ciment amb un desnivell abans
de la grava d’ull de perdiu
27. l
• Quan plou tarda molt a assecar-se i quan fa sol absorbeix tanta
descartar-lo.
30. El cautxú no ens permet plantar. És brut
i amb el temps es deforma.
És molt car i demana manteniment.
materials i geometries, sorres, graves, terra
moviment i d’activitats.
51.
52.
53. Als límits de la fusta,
del ciment o d’altres
paviments, podem
sembrar una
combinació de
plantes rústiques
com la Lippia,
Dichondra, etc.
També es poden
delimitar amb
arbustos.
