Canberra.
In this role I converted Word documents and PDFs to HTML using the DoHA CMS which runs off
Lotus Notes; I created, edited, modified and QA’d web pages including manipulating images in
Photoshop for their external sites.
2010 – 2011 APS 5 Health Programs, Medicare Australia, Canberra.
In this role I created, edited and modified web pages;
Maintained the integrity of the WebSphere CMS and supported a team of 10 users; and
Provided a monthly report by DQL requests to the WebSphere server for a controlling CSV which
provided pivot tables for 12 Medicare streams.

2009 – 2010 HR/HC/MC truck driver.
2004 – 2009 APS 4 Maintenance & Infrastructure, Productions Systems Support, Web
Maintenance Team, Australian Taxation Office (ATO), Canberra.
In this role I assisted in the maintenance of the ATO Internet and Intranet websites. This
was as an exceptions publisher by updating documents (documents with problems that
could not be moved live by the content publishers through the in-house publishing tool
called ATO Publisher), converting them from Word to HTML using PWP (Panagon Web
Publisher) and then moving these web content pages to production using ATO Publisher or
manually by the FTP machine. I also manually converted the weekly Gazette as a Word
document from the APSC to HTML for the ATO and web documents for TAP (Tax Agents
Portal), BP (Business Portal);
I moved files manually on an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) PC to 20 production boxes
controlled by 4 cluster controller PC’s which then moved the files to the 5 production boxes
within each cluster);
I used Dreamweaver (basic) and Adobe Photoshop (basic) to edit and manipulate
documents if they could not be changed within ATO Publisher or were originally created
outside of ATO Publisher;
I used Sharepoint (front end) to manually run updates to Intranet sites for publishers so
content would render immediately for Intranet documents;
I updated websites such as TABD (Tax Agents Board), ROCS (Register Of Contributing
Superannuation funds) which involved the saving of an updated .csv file to the correct
directory using the correct procedure;
I utilised VPN (Virtual Private Network) boxes to manually run updating software for our
applications on our Internet site when needed;
I assisted in the development of web documents as a junior developer using echo, updating
media articles by the Commissioner using hard coding techniques in HTML, coding in
XHTML for textual changes, XML & ASP.NET documents in the ATO adaptation of the
ASP.NET framework;

I also built and maintained a 32 point dedicated ADSL LAN utilising P4 boxes with either 19”
or 21” CRT monitors (later 17” LCD monitors) running XP with CA e-Trust Antivirus
connected by CAT5E UTP network cabling to 10/100 4 or 8 port RJ45 mini-hubs which were
connected to a 24 port hub which was connected to a BigPond ADSL modem/router. These
machines needed to be either sourced, built, imaged or re-imaged when needed and
maintained by using analysis and research tools learnt in house within the area when
breakdowns occurred. I also assisted in the maintenance of all development boxes as these
were on a different platform separate to the Intranet. This involved diagnosis, registering or
reporting of faults on the ITOC or phone for assistance in repairing or re-imaging of these
boxes with the outsourced IT support company EDS if needed; and
I performed ad hoc administration tasks as needed such as purchasing and payment of
public monies and used SAP for purchase order releases and approvals.
