Description:
ESA is based on BDW (Banking Data warehouse from IBM). Instead of pulling data from different sources, All the
sources are kept in one common layer after harmonization. A SFD (Shared foundational database) is created over
by extracting the data from all the sources and kept in a pre-modeled table structure with different subject
areas.This process runs daily. This acts as a centralized data warehouse for Keybank and will replace the EDW in
future. The data present in SFD are highly de-normalized . Various data-marts are getting created from SFD. As
of now it is acting as a source CRR (Credit Risk Reporting) data.In future it will be source to all the Data marts
in the organization.
Apart from that there are few sources they are not fit to this integrated architecture and are handled in non
integrated system.The ETL process is handled with Abinito and unix and the database in use is Teradata.
As a apart of enhancement and migration adoop echo system got introudced too the sourcing and the
harmonization layer . By this the process is getting migrated from UNIX to Hadoop Eco System and using HDFS
and a storage mechanism.

Roles And Responsibilities In The Project
1. Working as a production support specialist for the entire suit of application.Considering the SFD feeds
data to the entire downstream Key Bank system its a very high risk and critical application which need a
continuous support.
2. Involved in code review , code approval ,code deployment , post deployment production validation
process for new development and enhancement for the exiting applciations.
3. Support entire suit of schedules (Runs Daily , Weekly & Monthly basis) having SLA (Service level
agreements) which involved checking job dependencies , scheduling , production code fixng (Which
includes fixing of Abinito, Unix , Teradata , Hadoop (BigSQL) ) within the SLA.
4. Involved code review process which involves extensive coordination with development and QA team so
that high quality codes can move to production.
5. Involved in creating Change requests by coordinating with various stockholders and Infrastructure team
so that the deployment process can go smoothly.
6. Worked closely with infrastructure team to deploy the codes (Unix scripts , Abinito packages , teradata
& Big SQL packages , Mainframe TWS Schedules) with proper approval and validation within the change
time.
7. Involved in post deployment production validation of the codes with help of various tools .

Basel II Program implementation aims at reporting capital to the Banking Regulators measured against the Bank’s
risk weighted assets. Basel-II is a compliance program, which is a standard requirement of regulatory authority.
The business objective of Basel-II is to make sure that the banks maintain capital according to their risk profile
so that they will be able to survive if any risk arises. The changing business needs requires changes in the
existing project and the project requires frequent changes to cater to such changes in business and processes.
So for the above tasks we process the source files from mainframe/Unix from different sources in

This is a migration project where Sybase and Abinitio phased out and migrated to Teradata. Previously ETL
architecture is converted to ELT architecture. The data validation financial balancing and the control balancing
is carried out in Teradata instead of abinitio. Teradata custom procedures are used to carry out post loading

The Information Delivery Network System has come into existence to leverage the capability to drive financial
benefit to the AMEX including Fraud prevention, International Information management, Marketing, Risk
Capabilities, and US collections. It helps in fully understanding of customer’s experience/interaction with
American Express which allows for superior credit management & marketing focus.
In this project we process the source files from mainframe in AB INTIO graphs and create the load ready flat files
in UNIX. Once the load ready files are created, the data is loaded through the custom stored procedures into
warehouse tables in SYABASE.
There is a direct client interaction opportunity in this Project. We get an opportunity to directly interact with
the business/client, gather their requirement, and develop and modify graphs as per their requirement.

Description:
Star Suite is the family name of a group of applications. The main function of these applications is to alert sales
people to the sites in their base where revenue (or duration or number of calls) is rising or falling. This is
achieved by amalgamating information from various upstream systems. The call related data is gathered from
various upstream systems. The information is gathered in daily, weekly and monthly basis. They are loaded to
one of the data mart CCBA (Customer Call Behavior Analysis). These are the actual call data (No of calls,
Revenue, Duration of calls etc) .There are various other upstream systems from which the account ownership
data is gathered. The STAR process involves processing the data to the required format. The restructured data
is then loaded in to the STAR data mart. The information is displayed to the customer in the front-end.
