The Centre for Workforce Intelligence (CfWI) provides workforce planning intelligence for health and social care in England. It aims to deliver quality intelligence that improves workforce planning and people's lives. The CfWI produces long-term strategic scenario planning and tools/resources for workforce planners, and applies research and evidence to real situations. It has a significant role given the large size of the health and care workforce in England, which includes over 1.36 million NHS staff and 1.85 million social care workers. The CfWI's priorities include shaping the future workforce, supporting new organizations, and taking a pathway approach to integrated healthcare planning.
