The Green Room is a social learning space for university staff located in the University Library. It consists of two rooms called strawberry and green that contain comfortable, flexible furniture along with tea, coffee, and a variety of classroom and mobile technologies. The Green Room is meant to be a place for staff to work away from their offices, explore learning technologies together, and participate in informal training, collaboration, and fun. It is supported by library staff through online guides and resources. A variety of workshops and events are held there monthly across different subject areas. Staff praise The Green Room for providing a conducive environment for brainstorming, demonstrations, and productive work.

On Wednesday, January 12 at 7:00 p.m., Kay McKeen, Executive Director and founder of the environmental education organization SCARCE (School and Community Assistance for Recycling and Composting Education) located in DuPage County, awarded an Earth Flag to Roselle Public Library District. <p>
The Library “Green Team,” organized and motivated by Circulation Department Head Christy Snyders in September of 2009, led the way as Roselle Public Library staff successfully completed each environmentally friendly task on the path to earning the Earth Flag. <p>
The Roselle Public Library District “Green Team” and staff continue to actively promote environmental education for the community through programming, informational displays, positive environmental practices in the Library, and adding to the Library’s collections of materials on environmental issues.<p>

He discussed the concept of quality improvement, emphasizing its applicability to various aspects of life, including personal, project, and program improvements.
