Designing a Magazine Cover
Masthead - magazine logo, easy to identify and read. Feature photo - At least one main illustration or photo as the main image on the cover page. The image should be edited in Photoshop to best suit your magazine. A selling line/slogan near the masthead which hints at the magazine’s theme. At least one cover line. The cover line will contain information about some of the main stories or articles in your magazine. A dateline/ price.

Today you will be working alone. Create a magazine  cover . Invent  your own  magazine,  do not  use an existing magazine. Who is your  target audience ? Who do you think will be reading your magazine? A magazine designed for professional business people will obviously be different to a music magazine aimed at teenagers. What is your magazine about?
Requirements: Size: A4 Final File type: .jpg or .gif Include Masthead Selling line At least 2 cover lines Main image - photo or illustration Date line Layout Colour Text
Before you start your design  brainstorm  some ideas. Think about exactly what you want to put on the cover first. I want this work completed and uploaded to Grou.ps/Eng by the 11 th  August. When you add your work to the website include some information about your magazine: Target audience Subject of your magazine This work will count towards your after mid term grade.
