Use the construction… 
TOO + ADJECTIVE + INFINITIVE 
The weather is too 
cold to drive. 
You had better not 
drive now because 
is dangerous.
Use a for phrase to 
further clarify a warning 
or explanation 
Now, take a look at this
• The rock is too heavy for her to lift. You 
had better not lift it because it can hurt 
you.
* The car is too expensive for me 
to buy
The weather is too cold for people to 
drive.
Infinitives with enough 
You can use an infinitive after an 
adjective and enough to give an 
explanation
She is old enough to drive.( she 
can drive)
The driving test is easy enough 
for her to pass. (She can pass it.)
The car is simple enough for it 
to drive. (it can drive it.)
