FERTILIZATION
   Fertilization occurs when the egg and sperm met.
   It occurs in the oviduct (fallopian tubes)
   Takes about two weeks to know if the egg is fertilized.

THE FIRST TRIMESTER
   The first 3 months of pregnancy.
   The placenta develops and surrounds the embryo.
   Gastrulation occurs when the ectoderm, endoderm, and
    mesoderm form.
   In the first few minutes a membrane is forms to protect and
    nourish the embryo.
   A placenta develops inside the uterus and surrounds the
    embryo
   At the end of the first trimester the basic body structure is
    develops
