3. What is it?

Whenever you buy or save
a Google Offer, it
automatically syncs to your
Google Wallet so your
offers are always with you.

• Google Wallet is designed
and engineered to enable
safe, secure payments.
• Google Wallet stores your
encrypted payment card
credentials on a computer
chip on your phone called
the Secure Element.

programs on the Secure Element itself to
access the payment credentials stored therein.
• The secure encryption technology of
MasterCard PayPass protects your payment
card credentials as they are transferred from
the phone to the contactless reader.

• It will not disrupt the business model currently in
place between banks, payment processors and
merchants, as Google is not seeking a percentage
of the payment transaction fee.
• It enables the provisioning of multiple bank and
credit cards, making it accessible to all banks.
• It will enable merchants to connect their Google
online and mobile advertising directly to offline
purchases through Google Offers.
