Harvey Goldstein, through his company and advisory roles, has worked to promote economic development in Southeast Asia for over 40 years. In 2013, he and his wife established a scholarship fund through The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth (CTY) program to send six Singaporean students to CTY summer programs in the United States. The Goldstein Scholarship Fund covers airfare, tuition, and room and board to give academically gifted students opportunities to study topics like philosophy and mathematics at CTY colleges for the next five years.

 Harvey Goldstein has aided economic development in Indonesia for more
than 40 years as the chairman of Harvest International, Inc. He also leads
Business-Link Consultancy PTE LTD as its managing director, guiding the
development of prominent global firms in the Southeast Asian market.
While the majority of his business operations have focused on Indonesia,
Harvey Goldstein is dedicated to facilitating prosperity throughout the
Southeast Asian region and serves as the chairman of the Southeast Asia
Advisory Board for The Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth
(CTY).

 Since 1979, CTY has provided a plethora of unique educational
experiences for academically gifted students, offering summer programs at
universities throughout the United States and Hong Kong. In 2013, Mr.
Goldstein and his wife Rosita made it possible for six Singaporean students
to attend a CTY program at Haverford College and Johns Hopkins University
Campus, USA. The students, who each passed Hopkins’ rigorous assessment
test to earn a spot in the program, received financial aid from the
Goldstein Scholarship Fund, to cover the entirety of their airfare, tuition, and
room and board.

 Mr. Goldstein and his wife intend to continue the scholarship program for
five years, giving several students the opportunity to study topics such as
philosophy and mathematical modeling at any of 24 CTY colleges. In
offering the scholarship, they hope not only to aid the success of
Singaporean students, but also to foster intercultural understanding. oard.
