The golden tiger is an extremely rare color variation of the tiger found only in captivity, with fewer than 30 known to exist globally. It has a coat of white, cream, and pale orange fur with rust-colored stripes. Once found in the wild, golden tigers were hunted for their valuable pelts, and they now live solely in wildlife refuges, parks, and rarely zoos due to their scarce numbers in an effort to preserve the species.
