Maslenitsa is a week-long festival marking the end of winter and the arrival of spring, with each day dedicated to specific ancient traditions. Activities include cooking pancakes, skating, visiting relatives, singing traditional songs, and asking for forgiveness on the final day. In 2014, Maslenitsa will be celebrated from February 24th to March 2nd in city parks and centers.

Sunday is the day to ask for forgiveness.
