is God fair? Well, we know that "life" isn't always fair... and we sometimes wonder how God and His justice intersects with our lives to 'right' the 'wrongs' of human existence.
The Old Testament Prophet Ezekiel saw God’s people suffer what appeared to be coarse injustice. But as time unfolded, they came to realize that God is always just—even when life seems unfair.
Join us as we learn more about this important attribute of God that will help you grow in your understanding of God, while helping you in your spiritual maturity.
God is Loving, Beyond Belief Series, Session 2, CardozaFreddy Cardoza
What is God Like? If God is anything, He is "loving." In fact, God isn't only loving-- He is "love," personified. His being emanates love through His great kindness toward all people, because God genuinely loves us.
God's love for us is in spite of our sometimes less than ideal behaviors and inconsistency. Take some time to learn more about God's love by learning about God's character as told originally by the Apostle John.... the "disciple Jesus loved." After all, who would know better than the one known as "the beloved?"
We'll springboard from learning about God's love into deeper issues related to how God manifested His love most, which has been the person of Jesus Christ. In this podcast, we will plunge deeply into some important theological ideas to remove the mystery and maximize the majesty of the great God of the Bible.
God is Holy, Beyond Belief Series, Session 1, CardozaFreddy Cardoza
The Holy Bible says that God is Holy. That means, among other things, that God is both transcendent (far above us) and immanent (with us). In these two concepts we learn much about who God is and what He is like. This lesson is part of a multi-sessions series on the Character of God from my book "Beyond Belief" published by LifeWay Publishers, www.lifeway.com. (c) 2015. Freddy Cardoza. If shared, please include author name and www.freddycardoza.com.
A Call of Duty for Christian men to fight the good fight of the faith by facing the brutal facts about the world today believing that, in the end, we will be victorious in Christ as faithful men.
Your speech is amazing. As you look out at the audience, they are on the edge of their seats; they’re nodding, and engrossed in every word that you say.
You’re about out of time and you need to wrap it up, so you say:
• “Who has questions for me?”
• “Well, that's all I have for you."
• "Thanks for your time."
• Rambling until time runs out and sprinting off stage.
• “Buy my stuff.”
If you ever ended your presentation with one of these statements, then you’ve done it. You’ve blown your close.
The conclusion is the most valuable real estate in any speech. Why? Your audience remembers MOST what they hear LAST. Social psychologists call this "The Recency Effect." And because of this psychological gem, you need to write a conclusion that leaves a lasting impression.
How do you do that? Read on. There are three parts to a conclusion that gets remembered and helps your message spread.

The sense of being trapped in one's life is not uncommon. Many people have it. "I feel trapped in my life" is a particularly common feeling at midlife, and in the second half of life. THere are many different ways in which people can have the experience of feeling trapped in their lives. Conference attendees are collectors of experiences. You have the opportunity to design a conference narrative that uses narraphors: metaphors to tell a story. Your opening and closing general sessions need to help frame that narraphor with input and output frames. Then you can transform your conference attendees from story listeners to story tellers to story sharers and story people. So what's your conference story and narraphor?

What Science Says Leaders, Managers, and Employees Can Do in 7 Minutes to Ful...The HR Observer
Equate the noun of engagement with the verb of engage by solving the employee engagement equation: Employee Engagement = Small Actions + Good Work + Daily Performance. Successful employee engagement is based on strategic, small, simple, strong, significant, and sustainable evidence based actions, such as high quality connection and progress monitoring to strength based conversations. Engagement is built with grit, gumption, and caring for good work, done well, with others, every day.

Creating Sticky Learning To Combat Our Illusion Of KnowingJeff Hurt
As adults, we are rather lazy learners.
Much of what we hold as fact regarding learning is actually illusion. We waste a lot of effort, time and resources with common-sense accepted educational practices that are rooted in intuition, tradition and myth.
The most effective learning strategies and education programming are counter-intuitive. We need to build new bridges between our education offerings and the learning research in order to increase our participants’ ROI. We need to develop a deeper understanding of the why and how to create learning opportunities that stick.

Christianity: Christian Beliefs Contrasted with Other ReligionsFreddy Cardoza
What are the major beliefs of Christianity? What are the major divisions of the Christian faith and how did they develop? What is an Evangelical Christian and why are those foundational beliefs so important to Christians? How do the major beliefs of Christianity compare to other world religions? And finally, don't all religions teach essentially the same thing? We'll consider these and more issues in this final part of the four part series on World Religions.
Islam: A Christian Looks at the Muslim FaithFreddy Cardoza
Islam is a faith having up to 1.6 Billion adherents worldwide. It is a religion partially understood, but that has confusing and concerning areas of belief and practice that need clarification in people's minds. This slide show is heavily documented and provides answers to some important areas on the minds of people outside of Islam.
Buddhism: A Christian Looks at the Buddhist FaithFreddy Cardoza
Buddhism is the worldview of hundreds of millions of adherents around the world. It shapes the thinking of much of South Asia and the Far East hemisphere through its two major schools of thought, Theravada and Mahayana Buddhism. Here you will learn more about its colorful history, beliefs, and practices, along with some interaction between it and the Christian faith.
This presentation explains why Creation and Creationism (the view that God created the worlds from nothing and people as a special creation in His image) is such an important theme in evangelical Christianity.
Hinduism: A Christian Looks at the Hindu FaithFreddy Cardoza
The Hindu faith is unusual to Westerners and is a unique and novel religion. People are sometimes confused about its central beliefs and practices, and this is a session designed to help people better understand and interact with Hindus and the Hindu Religion. Written from an inquisitive point of view, it also explores questions about how Christians might engage Hindus for dialogue and discussion, while stretching their own faith.

Homily: The Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity Sunday 2024.docxJames Knipper
Countless volumes have been written trying to explain the mystery of three persons in one true God, leaving us to resort to metaphors such as the three-leaf clover to try to comprehend the Divinity. Many of us grew up with the quintessential pyramidal Trinity structure of God at the top and Son and Spirit in opposite corners. But what if we looked at this ‘mystery’ from a different perspective? What if we shifted our language of God as a being towards the concept of God as love? What if we focused more on the relationship within the Trinity versus the persons of the Trinity? What if stopped looking at God as a noun…and instead considered God as a verb? Check it out…

In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.
