A Strategic Approach: GenAI in Education
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

- 1. GOD’S CREATION! BY Ricardo Roman
- 2. DAY 1 On day 1 God made the light to brighten up the world, He called the light day. God saw that it was good, and he was happy.
- 3. DAY 2 On day 2 God created the stars and the moon to light up the day. When god was finished he saw that it was god . God was happy . On day two God created the earth’s surface and tectonic plates pressing against each other. God saw that this was good. So God was happy.
- 4. DAY 3 On day 3 God commanded the waters and the dome above, and God saw that it was good, that was the end of day 3.
- 5. DAY 4 On day 4 God created the moon and stars that were now visible to see in the night, God was pleased in what he had done. And was happy.
- 6. DAY 5 As God continued his work God created the birds to fill up the sky and the fish to fill up the clean sea. God knew already that his world was a beautiful place. He was pleased.
- 7. DAY 6 On day 6 god created animals to look after the earth then he created Adam and Eve to look after all non and living things God saw that everything was calm. He was very happy in himself.
- 8. DAY 7 Now that everything was good God blessed the precious thing that he has created, God watched over the world and then God rested.
- 9. THE END My place in creation is in Gods love, God told me that my duty is take care of his creation. And I will.
