The reason we set goals is to provide direction and purpose
in life.Without them ,our lives can seem pointless.
Many good qualities stem from setting.Once a goal is
set, motivation is needed to work towards it every day.Focus
also must be put into practice.
By giving ourselves goals to work towards, days become more
meaningful and productive.

GOALS

the near future. The near future can mean
today,this weak,this month,or even this year.A

WHAT ARE SMART GOALS?
• SMART goal set you up for success by making goals
specific,measurable,achievable,realistic,and timely.The SMART method helps
push you further, gives you a sence of direction, and helps you organize and
helps you organize and reach your goals.
• Specific:Having specific goals helps make sure they are measurable and
meaningful.
• Eg:
I want to gain weight.
I want to get more marks in exams.
Keep the house clean.
MEASURABLE:
• Having goals that can be measured helps you see your progress and can
be very motivating!
• Eg:
• Read for 20 minutes.
• Complete 15 sit-ups
ACHIEVABLE
• The goal should not just be realistic, it must be realistic for you. Different
people have different capabilities, and just because a goal is suitable for
someone else doesn't mean it isn't too difficult or too easy for you.
• Eg:
• Run 1km at the garden.
• Join a running program
RELEVANT
• This applies not only to the goal itself, but also to the way you measure
it. Make sure the goal you're working toward is something that is
tangible and important to you!
• "Make my bed every day" might be a good goal for many, but if you
really, truly find you feel no better coming home to a made bed, skip
that one.
TIMELY
• Most goals should have some kind of reasonable time limit to keep
yourself motivated and prevent stagnation.
• Eg:
• Run a 5k by the end of the year.
