Green Technology according
to Wikipedia.
 Environmental technology (envirotech), green
technology (greentech) or clean technology (cleantech)
is the application of one or more of environmental
science, green chemistry, environmental monitoring and
electronic devices to monitor, model and conserve the
natural environment and resources, and to curb the
negative impacts of human involvement.
 The term is also used to describe sustainable energy
generation technologies such as photovoltaics, wind
turbines, bioreactors, etc. Sustainable development is
the core of environmental technologies.
‘Green Technology’ is a system that uses innovative methods to
create an environmental friendly products.
In other term ‘green technology’ encompasses a continuously
evolving group of methods and materials, from techniques for
generating energy to non-toxic cleaning product.
Uses renewable natural resources that never depletes, so
future generation can also benefit from it.
It can effectively change waste pattern and production in a
way that it won’t harm the planet.
This method uses resources efficiently.
• Never depletes
• Does not cause pollution
• Depletes eventually
• Cause major pollution
Criteria of Green Technology products, equipments or systems:
It minimizes the degration of the environment;
It has zero or low green house gas (GHG) emission;
It is safe for use and promotes healthy and improved
environment for all forms of life;
It conserves the use of energy and natural resources; and
It promotes the use of renewable resources.

Japan has 2 laws about
waste management which
is industrial waste and
municipal waste. In
Japan, most waste is
treated in incineration,
dehydration, or milling
plants. The most
outstanding feature of
the methods of waste
management in Japan is
the extremely low final
disposal rate and the
extremely high
reduction rate. The
major reason for this
is limited space for
landfills
