WHAT IS GREEN TECHNOLOGY?
It is the application of one or more :
•Environmental science
•Green chemistry
•Environmental monitoring and
•Electronic devices
to monitor, model and conserve the
natural environment and resources, and to
curb the negative impacts of human
involvement
WHY GREEN TECHNOLOGIES?
• Environmental friendly technology
• Conserve natural resources and the
environment – Sustainable
development
• Radical thinking to change
• Innovative technology

ENHANCED GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
ENHANCED GEOTHERMAL ENERGY
ENHANCED GEOTHERMAL SYSTEMS
• The overall objective of Enhanced Geothermal
Systems (EGS) is to harness the heat naturally
generated by the Earth to produce electricity.
• In order to do so, wells are drilled into high
temperature basement rock which is naturally
fractured. The fracture network is enhanced to
create a reservoir into which additional wells
are drilled.
• Cold water is then pumped into the fracture
network, via the wells, absorbing the heat of the
rock as it passes through.
NANO SOLAR ENERGY
NANO SOLAR ENERGY
“On a bright, sunny day, the sun's rays
give off approximately 1,000 watts of
energy per square meter of the planet's
surface. If we could collect all of that
energy, we could easily power our homes
and offices for free”
• Nano Solar managed to reduce
production costs from $3 per watt to 30
cents per watt during the manufacturing
of their Power Sheet cells.
• They managed this impressive cost
reduction using an innovative technology
which coats metal sheets, as thin as
aluminum foil, with a microscopic layer
of printer ink containing Copper, Gallium,
Indium and Di Selenide. inuscule solar
NANO SOLAR FOILS
Waves are generated by the wind as it
blows across the sea surface. Energy is
transferred from the wind to the waves.
Wave energy has the potential to be one
of the most eco friendly forms of
electricity generation. It is a clean and
renewable energy source and its potential
is huge. 2700 GW Of Power.
WAVE POWER
Pelamis
Wave
Energy
Converter
WAVE POWER
• The Pelamis is an offshore wave energy
converter that uses the motion of waves to
generate electricity.
• The machine operates in water depths greater
than 50m and is typically installed 2-10km from
the coast.
• The machine is rated at 750kW with a target
capacity factor of 25-40 per cent, depending on
the conditions at the chosen project site. On
average one machine will provide sufficient power
to meet the annual electricity demand of
approximately 500 homes.

GOALS OF GREEN TECHNOLOGY
2. RECYCLING
•Recycling is processing of used material into
new products to prevent waste of potentially
useful materials, reduce the consumption of
fresh raw materials
•Reduce energy usage
•Reduce air pollution and water pollution
•Lower greenhouse gas emissions as
compared to virgin production.
•Recycling is a key component of modern
waste reduction and is the third component
of the "Reduce, Reuse, Recycle" waste
hierarchy.
RECYCLING
• Waste reduction
• Conservation of energy
• Save money
• Create new jobs
• Generate revenues

3. RENEWING
Renewing Energy:
1. Sewage water
treatment
2. Water purification
3. Bio-fuel
4. Air Purification
SEWAGE WATER TREATMENT
•Sewage treatment, or domestic wastewater
treatment, is the process of
removing Contaminants from wastewater and
household sewage both runoff (effluents) and
domestic.
•It includes physical, chemical, and biological
processes to remove physical, chemical and
biological contaminants. Its objective is to produce
an environmentally-safe fluid waste stream and a
solid waste (or treated sludge) suitable for disposal
or reuse (usually as farm fertilizer).

GOALS OF GREEN TECHNOLOGY
5. RESPONSIBILITY
Ecosystem,
once
destroyed,
cannot be
retrieved.
• Don’t waste electricity – Switch off
electrical equipments when not required.
Avoid electrical equipments consuming
more power.
• Don’t waste water – Never leave taps
open while brushing or washing dishes.
• Don’t waste fuel
• Don’t waste food – Don’t cook extra
food and throw, always keep in mind that
there are million in the world starving
without food.
This Mother Earth is not for …..But for all of US.
