Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (BHEL), India Dec 2013-Mar 2014
 Computational Fluid Dynamic Analysis of a typical Steam turbine stage of 500MW
steam power plant. Blade, hub and shroud were designed by taking the co-ordinates of
the components from the hand drawing given.
 Calculation of properties of steam of that stage both in moving and guide blades.
 This project was awarded as the best project for the academic year 2013-2014.
International Paper:
 Research paper on "Performance characteristics of Neem Bio Diesel (B20)" in
International Journal of Mechanical Engineering and Technology (Volume 5,Issue 4,
April 2014 ISSN: 0976-6359)
Academic Projects:
The Automobile-An Integrated System:
 Worked on Vehicle Concept Design & Development plan for 2021 Model Year which
involved detailed benchmarking, Quality Function Deployment, Interface Analysis and
Vehicle Attributes & sub-attributes requirements cascading for Full vehicle System.
 Worked on preparing Interface Diagram and Interface matrix for Front Suspension
System.
 Business plan Development indicating costs, project timelines.
 Conceptual design, detailed package drawing and technical plan indicating major design
challenges, key risks and open issues and potential suppliers.
 Considerable knowledge on Systems Engineering Management Plan (SEMP)
 Considerable knowledge on verification and validation tests for a full vehicle system.
User Interface DesignAnd Analysis:
 A project on unfriendly design interface and its usability problems with usability

 Project dealing with presenting working prototype of new interface design, addressing
the usability deficiency of the old design and also functional comparisons of old and new
interfaces.

Project Management and Control:
 Prepared Request for Proposal (RFP) for Mississippi Website Redesign as a part of
project work.
 Planned for a wedding as a part of project by using Work Breakdown Structure,
Responsibility Matrix, Hierarchical diagram of activities, Network diagram,
Earliest/Latest Start/Finish times and critical path. Development of resource
requirements table.

FEA in Automotive structures:
 Theoretical knowledge of FEA and vehicle design.
 Steering column support beam analysis using pre processor HyperMesh and Optistruct as
solver.
 Analysis of Steering column support beam using seam weld, spot weld and no weld
conditions to consider which process is the best for the given cross-section with flanges
and without flanges.
 Normal mode analysis of an Aluminum space frame to identify the global nodes of
vibration and improving the first natural frequency using HyperMesh and Optistruct.
Automotive Manufacturing Process:
 Technical paper on "An examination of alternative processes for Internal Combustion
Engine Components" which includes review of current and alternative materials and
manufacturing processes for Crankshaft, Connecting rod, Piston and Engine Block.
 Studied Manufacturing processes including casting, forging, forming, machining,
molding and their applications in the automotive industry.
