Global Warming.
What is Global warming?
• Global warming is the long-term heating of Earth's surface observed since the
pre-industrial period (between 1850 and 1900) due to human activities,
primarily fossil fuel burning, which increases heat-trapping greenhouse gas
levels in Earth's atmosphere. This term is not interchangeable with the term
"climate change."
What are the 10 causes of climate change?
• Here are 10 causes of global warming that are contributing to
the climate crisis.
• Waste.
• Power Plants. ...
• Oil Drilling. ...
• Transport and Vehicles. ...
• Consumerism. ...
• Farming. ...
• Industrialization. ...
• Overfishing. Fish is one of humans main sources of protein and a lot of the world
now rely on this industry. ...
What are the 10 effects of climate change?
• Effects of Climate Change
• Hotter temperatures. As greenhouse gas concentrations rise, so does the global
surface temperature. ...
• More severe storms. ...
• Increased drought. ...
• A warming, rising ocean. ...
• Loss of species. ...
• Not enough food. ...
• More health risks. ...
• Poverty and displacement.
What are 10 ways to stop climate change?
• 10 Ways to Stop Global Warming
• Change a light. Replacing one regular light bulb with a compact fluorescent light
bulb will save 150 pounds of carbon dioxide a year.
• Drive less. ...
• Recycle more. ...
• Check your tires. ...
• Use less hot water. ...
• Avoid products with a lot of packaging. ...
• Adjust your thermostat. ...
• Plant a tree.
Why do we need to stop climate change?
• Climate change won't just impact forest, or coral reefs, or even people in far-
off countries – it will affect all of us. From more extreme weather to
increasing food prices, to recreation and decreased opportunities to
appreciate the natural world, people everywhere will feel its effects.
Can climate change be stopped?
• Yes. While we cannot stop global warming overnight, we can slow the rate
and limit the amount of global warming by reducing human emissions of heat-
trapping gases and soot (“black carbon”).
What’s will be happen if we don’t stop the
global warming?
• The wildlife we love and their habitat will be destroyed, leading to mass
species extinction. Superstorms, drought, and heat waves would become
increasingly common and more extreme, leading to major health crises and
illness. Agricultural production would plummet, likely leading to global food
shortages and famine.
How long is Earth’s left?
• Four billion years from now, the increase in Earth's surface temperature will
cause a runaway greenhouse effect, creating conditions more extreme than
present-day Venus and heating Earth's surface enough to melt it. By that
point, all life on Earth will be extinct.
Is global warming increasing or decreasing?
• Earth's temperature has risen by 0.14° Fahrenheit (0.08° Celsius) per
decade since 1880, but the rate of warming since 1981 is more than twice
that: 0.32° F (0.18° C) per decade.
Is Global Warming getting worse?
• The annual mean global near-surface temperature for each year from
2022-2026 is predicted to be between 1.1 °C and 1.7 °C higher than pre-
industrial levels
What will be world in 2050?
• By 2050 , the world's population will exceed at least 9 billion and by 2050
the population of India will exceed that of China. By 2050, about 75% of the
world population will be living in cities. Then there will be buildings touching
the sky and cities will be settled from the ground up.
•Thank’s
