I really loved working with dream flags these past two semesters. Now that I am leaving, I put together a 20 page "Dream Flags 101" to pass onto the teach who will be taking over the project when I return to San Diego.
I am posting it here in case other teachers may find it helpful. It is still a work in progress as I need to add links and make a few edits, so if you find any mistakes, please let me know.

They will name vehicles orally and discuss their experiences riding in them. To motivate the students, the teacher will play songs about transportation. The class will then be divided into groups to play a game where they raise flags to guess vehicles in pictures and whether they operate on land. At the end, the students will understand the importance of knowing different land vehicles for traveling on land. Their assignment is to cut out pictures of land vehicles and present them to the class.
Lesson plan 5 Primary Level
This document provides a lesson plan for a 4th grade English class in Zapala, Argentina. The lesson aims to teach students prepositions of place by having them describe the locations of buildings on maps. The 40-minute lesson begins with a warm-up activity identifying weather and dates. Nonlinear
This lesson plan teaches addition and subtraction using train cars as manipulatives. Students start with 5 train cars pinned to the board. When 2 more cars are added at the first stop, students count the total of 7 cars and write the equation 5 + 2 = 7 on the board. At each stop, a child adds or removes cars while students count and the new equation is written, reinforcing the connection between the visual manipulatives and numeric calculations.

- 3. TEACH-THIS.COM Giving Directions In this teaching activity, students use prepositions of place and movement to practice asking for and giving directions to places on a map. Before class, make one copy of the worksheets for each pair of students. Procedure Begin by asking the students how they ask for directions. Write their ideas and example phrases on the board. Examples: Excuse me, where’s the post office? How do I get to the market? Put the students into pairs (A and B) and distribute the worksheets. Tell the students that they are going to give directions from the ‘start’ position located at the bottom of the map. Students then take it in turns to ask each other for directions to the places listed on their worksheet. Encourage the students giving directions to use the expressions from the ‘Useful Language’ box where possible. When a student has found the place they want to go to, they write the name of the place on their copy of the map. Students are not allowed to look at each other’s worksheet until they have both found all eight places listed. Finally, students compare their maps and see if they have marked the places correctly.
