This study focuses on the numerical analysis of a high efficiency Energy Harvesting device, based on piezoelectric materials, for the sustainability of smart buildings, structures and infrastructures. Before that, a comprehensive literature review on the topic takes place. The device consists in an aerodynamic fin attached to a piezoelectric element that makes use of the air flow to harvest energy. The principal utilization of this device is for energy autonomous sensors, with applications in bridges, transportation networks and smart buildings. The results are corroborated by advanced analytical and numerical analyses (in ANSYS®) that demonstrate the energy harvesting capacity.

This project aims to develop a sustainable solar powered ozone generator whose operating principle is based on the production of ozone by corona effect. Ozone gas is now-a-days used for treatment of drinking water, disinfection, and air-purification.Corona effect occurs when an intense electric field accelerates the existing electrons around a conductor. This effect generates ozone through a high voltage process that produces a strong enough electric field to break the dielectric strength of the air between the electrodes and breaks the oxygen molecules and form ozone(O3). This phenomenon occurs at or near a field strength of 2kv-10kv. Flyback converter which is excited by a high frequency Hartley oscillator and act as a high voltage-high frequency transformer to reach the expected voltage. The whole system is powered by the solar photovoltaic panels . This work is aimed to evaluate the efficiency of this solar powered ozone generator.

Hence for establishing the transmission of electricity without hazards today’s world started working on the removal of the net of the wires over the world and this is possible only by transmitting electricity wirelessly. This principle was early given by a charming and mysterious inventor and engineer Nikola Tesla(1891-1898) by inventing Tesla coil. But in wireless electricity transmission, there is a lot of wastage of energy when power is transferred to the load. If there is no loads are available around the receiving antenna(coil), power will be wasted and this is a one of the major disadvantage of this principle. So by using IR Sensor we can save this power from being waste which will allow the antenna to transmit the power only when the objects are available to receive this transmitted power.
