5. Neue Deutsche Welle
• It was a rock/pop music style in the
early 1980s influenced by British
Punk and New Wave music
• The lyrics were in German, but it was
very different from German Schlager
• Mostly teenagers and young people
loved it, while they hated German
Schlager which was popular with
their parents‘ generation
