In the 1930s, she moved to the United States and became a citizen. During World War II, she toured Europe and Africa to entertain Allied troops. Throughout her career, Dietrich was known for films like The Blue Angel and Stage Fright, as well as her songs "Lili Marlene" and "Falling in Love Again." She continued performing on stage into the 1970s, retiring in 1976 before passing away in 1992 in Paris.
