Description: The Emory Pre-College Programis a summer academic program. It gives college-
bound rising juniors and rising seniors an exciting glimpse of academic and residential life at a top-
ranked national university. Students may enroll in classes with collegestudents, and earn
transferable collegecredit. Two-week non-credit courses and six-week credit courses are

Program: Summer Arts Intensive at the College of the Arts at Kennesaw State University:
Location: Kennesaw, Georgia
Description: This is a one week, non-residential summer program. We offer summer clinics on
acting, dance, music, musical theatre, and visual arts. The registration fee of $295 for the week
includes lunch each day fromour award-winning dining facility. Participants who attend the
Summer Arts Intensive are eligible for scholarships for attending KSU College of the Arts after high
school graduation.

Description: Fort ValleyState Universityis sponsoring a paid six-week summer internship program
called TEAM Success. The purpose of the program, which refers to the TEAM acronym - Teaching,
Enlightening, Achieving and Mentoring - is to expose high school students to Extension careers,
prepare the next generation of Extension personnel and offer high school students the opportunity
to have the professional experience of working in rural and urban areas to address critical
problems facing society.

Description: The Art Institute of Atlanta offers summer workshopsthat enable students to participate

Program: CDC Disease Detective Camp (DDC)
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
Description: CDC Disease Detective Camp (DDC) is an educational programstarted by CDC′s
David J. Sencer CDC Museumin 2005 as a mechanism for developing a public health camp
curriculumfor state and county health departments. Over the course of fivedays, campers will
take on the role of disease detectivesand learn first–hand how the CDC safeguards the nation′s
health. Teams will probe a disease outbreak using epidemiologic and laboratory skillsand report
their findings to a group of CDC scientists.

Program: Morehouse College Coca-Cola Pre-College LeadershipProgram
Location: Atlanta, GA
Description: The 2015 Coca-Cola Pre-College Leadership Programis designed to introduce
participants to the traits, skills and behaviors necessary for effective21st century leadership. The
curriculumfocuses on personal and interpersonal leadership skills, with an emphasis on the
development of character, civility and community. The curriculumis highly interactive and uses
indoor and outdoor group activities. Upon completion, participantswill have an appreciation for
personal responsibility, empathy for others and a vision for the future. Students will visit the Martin
Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change and Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Site,
as well as participate in a team-building ropes course. Financial support for the programis
provided by The Coca-Cola Foundation.
Participants: Male students completing their sophomore or junior year of high school by June 2015
and students completing their senior year in high school who have applied for admission to
