1. GEORGE WASHINGTON
George Washington was born
on February 22, 1732 near the
Potomac River, on the farm of
Bridge's Creek, in the old
county of Westmoreland, in
the present state of Virginia.
2. FAMILY
He belonged to an important
English family, originally from
Northamptonshire, who had
come to America in the mid-
seventeenth century and had
managed to get a
considerable fortune.
3. FIRST PRESIDENT
The Electoral College
unanimously elected
Washington in the elections of
1789, and again in the
elections of 1792, which
remains the only president to
have received 100% of the
electoral votes.
4. CURIOSITY
The first ticket was created $
1, although it was dedicated to
President Washington, but
Treasury Secretary by
President Lincoln, Salmon
Chase, but to pay homage to
the father of the nation,
liberator and first president,
George Washington.
