3. What does it mean to
be genuine?
To be genuine is to be the same inwardly
and outwardly.
To be genuine is to be is to be truthful,
authentic, and real.
6. When she was still very young, Sister Hsu
became ill with glaucoma, an eye condition
that gradually caused her to lose her eyesight.
Two years later, she became blind.
7. She was a happy fashion designer, but
her blindness caused her to not be able to
do any work. It was so dark and lonely for
her!
8. In order to heal her eyes, Sister Hsu was willing to try many
things. She walked barefoot from Taipei to Kaohsiung, a
distance of 156 miles. She even let others beat her body in
attempt to cast out demons, and used wormwood, a
poisonous plant, to burn her hands. She thought that
maybe doing these things would heal her eyes.
9. She also tried living in the Buddhist temple and
became a nun for almost two years. She would kneel
at the door of the temple and worship the temple idols
in hopes that her blindness would be healed. She did
this until her whole being was exhausted. However,
she did not gain any results, so she had no choice but
to return home.
10. One time, at the Buddhist
temple, she prayed,
“God, if You are real, please
save me. Please don’t leave
me like this. I believe You
are real and that You can
save me from this darkness.”
11. Not long after she returned home from the temple, a group
of Christians knocked on her door. Although she could not
see their faces, she could feel their love. After a joyful
conversation with them, she truly felt that God was among
them. They told her, “All you need to do is to believe in the
Lord Jesus and you will be saved and be born again.”
12. Seven days later, she attended a Christian
meeting and confidently told everyone, “I want
to get baptized!” She sang with the brothers
and sisters and shed tears of joy.
13. She told herself, “Even though I used all my strength to
search for God, I couldn’t find Him. But now God has
come to find me!” From then on, Sister Hsu held on to the
Lord and would not let Him go. She received true salvation
from the Lord, and every day she joyfully sang hymns to
God.
14. After being saved by God, she came out of the
darkness of being blind. She eagerly attended church
meetings and gave her testimony in different cities,
testifying that the Lord Jesus is the true light and that
He led her life on a path that is full of light.
15. Sister Hsu no longer fears darkness, because she
knows that God is the true light. She is living in
God, who is light. Previously, she could see
outwardly, but was inwardly blind. Now, although
she cannot see outwardly, God has opened her
eyes to see the true light.

sorrow, and broken hearts.
The Lord Jesus said that He is the true
light to enlighten every man. Jesus is
the most genuine One in the whole
universe.
When we call on “O Lord Jesus”, we get
Jesus who is the true light and He
shines into our hearts!
