Re-positioning the role and place of malaysian Women for National Development...Imam-Tamim Esq.
The place of women in decision making at various strata of living has been a front burner issue in the current milieu. The number of women allowed to participate in nation building worldwide is abysmally low especially in Malaysia where the women are culturally believed to be better suited for the role of home makers. Various researches have however shown that women are naturally made to contribute to development both domestically and nationally. Other Researches have equally shown that the women have been facing challenges in assuming political positions where they can adequately and practically contribute to national development as a result of certain socio-political and cultural challenges. This paper therefore investigates the factors that contribute to the inhibition of women in this regard despite their landmark educational progression and achievement. The paper argues that Malaysia will profit in its national development and nation building programmes if more women are allowed to participate in national governance. This will be achieved by harnessing the traditional roles of women in the family life for the benefit of the nation.

It may be available for consumers in 2012.

Smirnoff's Competitive Rivalry Problem and Redemtion | MKT382 RSTRifatul Sazal
Smirnoff, a Russian vodka company founded in the 19th century, was the market leader in the US but faced a price war initiated by competitor Wolfschmidt gradually lowering their vodka to $1. To counter this without damaging its premium brand, Smirnoff launched a flanker brand called Relska at a lower price to divert attention away from its main brand while still competing on price. This strategy of introducing a flanker brand succeeded in splitting the market close to 50/50 instead of losing significant market share to Wolfschmidt.

Lifting the Corporate Veil. Power Point Presentationseri bangash
"Lifting the Corporate Veil" is a legal concept that refers to the judicial act of disregarding the separate legal personality of a corporation or limited liability company (LLC). Normally, a corporation is considered a legal entity separate from its shareholders or members, meaning that the personal assets of shareholders or members are protected from the liabilities of the corporation. However, there are certain situations where courts may decide to "pierce" or "lift" the corporate veil, holding shareholders or members personally liable for the debts or actions of the corporation.
Here are some common scenarios in which courts might lift the corporate veil:
Fraud or Illegality: If shareholders or members use the corporate structure to perpetrate fraud, evade legal obligations, or engage in illegal activities, courts may disregard the corporate entity and hold those individuals personally liable.
Undercapitalization: If a corporation is formed with insufficient capital to conduct its intended business and meet its foreseeable liabilities, and this lack of capitalization results in harm to creditors or other parties, courts may lift the corporate veil to hold shareholders or members liable.
Failure to Observe Corporate Formalities: Corporations and LLCs are required to observe certain formalities, such as holding regular meetings, maintaining separate financial records, and avoiding commingling of personal and corporate assets. If these formalities are not observed and the corporate structure is used as a mere façade, courts may disregard the corporate entity.
Alter Ego: If there is such a unity of interest and ownership between the corporation and its shareholders or members that the separate personalities of the corporation and the individuals no longer exist, courts may treat the corporation as the alter ego of its owners and hold them personally liable.
Group Enterprises: In some cases, where multiple corporations are closely related or form part of a single economic unit, courts may pierce the corporate veil to achieve equity, particularly if one corporation's actions harm creditors or other stakeholders and the corporate structure is being used to shield culpable parties from liability.
